Dear residents,
We are pleased to inform you that the laundry room will be refurbished and new washers and dryers installed in September.

Our Annual Building Meeting will be held in the lobby at 7:30 pm. The co-op’s accountant will give a summary of the state of our finances; we will introduce our new managing agent; and a new board of directors will be elected.

Hello everyone,
Jerry of Controlled Combustion, who is directing the tank replacement project, has communicated the following to the board:
We are going to saw-cut the sidewalk and install the oil fill line on Tuesday 12/16/08. The vent, suction and return piping will be done on Tues & Wed. We will also complete the block work and door installation. The tank will be ready for a sign off by the end of next week. Once this sign-off is submitted to the DOB, approvals are normally issued in a few weeks.
The new tank is in, but the temporary tank behind the building will remain in use until we receive the requisite approval from the DOB.
Thank you again for your patience.

An odor from welding will most likely be noticeable in the building on Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
We are very close to the end now. Thanks as usual for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone,
Installation of the new fuel tank begins next week.
In preparation for that, a new floor will be poured tomorrow, Friday November 7, in the oil tank room; the laundry room will need to be closed for part or all of that time as the crew works.
We will post details of next week’s schedule as soon as those details are confirmed.
As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.

Dear Residents,
The oil tank installation work will be continuing tomorrow: Thursday, October 23.
Please note: working hours for the oil tank crew will be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The laundry room will be closed during this time.
We will do our best to move this project along as quickly as possible and appreciate your cooperation. In addition, the Board, Goodman Management, Superintendent and contractors will do their utmost to minimize the disruption this project may bring to the regular routine of the building.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Dear residents,
Just a reminder to make sure you know who you are buzzing into the building! Awareness of who is coming in is a simple safety measure, and it also helps to keep solicitors at bay. Last week, a sales rep from a company called Direct Energy was going door-to-door with applications, hoping to get people to sign up on the spot.
We discourage solicitation because our building is private property; those who live here have a right to privacy and a right to quiet enjoyment. Salespeople going door-to-door in the building should be asked to leave the premises.
As always, thanks for your cooperation.

Hello again everyone,
Please note the new date for the borings installation! Previously slotted to be on site this Thursday, Miller Environmental Group will instead come to the building next Tuesday, September 9.
Again, they will arrive at approximately 8AM. A fair amount of noise could result from drilling, and there will be quite a bit of activity in and around the building. The laundry room may need to be closed for part or all of the time.
Our apologies for any confusion and inconvenience. Thanks for your cooperation; as always, don’t hesitate to address questions or comments to any board member.
